Your Friends, it’s a Weighty Matter!

I am surprised how often people ask me “Does Shaklee make you healthier or do healthier people use Shaklee?”.  This is really a great question and the answer is “Yes”!  I’ve found that Shaklee does make a healthier home, environment, and body AND as you use Shaklee you tend to become more health conscience, even if you only use the cleaners. Why?  The answer is the same for you as for the people in my circle; my circle of Shaklee people. Influence!

Here are a couple of studies that show that your peer group impacts what you eat and your lifestyle. We already knew this of course, it’s why our parents always complained about who we hung out with, but it seems to matter in ways beyond smoking, drugs, and alcohol and you don’t outgrow being influenced by others.

In my Shaklee peer group we talk about health a lot! We teach each other about the dangers of too much sugar, about keeping chemicals out of the home, about healthy weight loss, being green, balanced diets and so much more.  The result of all this healthy mentorship is healthier people.  Not only do I find we teach each other, but we are cheerleaders too!  Even though we teach each other and cheer for one another the science shows we are so easily influenced that we would follow the trend without all of that. Though I like my happy cheerful group it is good to know and should make us mindful of who we are hanging out with as well as who they are hanging out with -us!

I guess we really should watch what we eat, but we should watch what our friends eat too and we have the power to choose our social networks and should choose wisely. I choose happy, environmentally friendly, healthy, cheerleading people, what about you?

My Shaklee Life: My husband and I love having a Shaklee business. We enjoy the income it brings in, but more than that we really love the fact that every day I get to help someone else be healthier and help them be their best version of themselves. Every morning I drink a Life Shake and take a Life Strip- Strip and Shake!

My 180 Fitness Program:

Monday & Thursday: Upper

Tuesday & Friday: Core

Wednesday & Saturday: Lower

I also add in Yoga and Tai Chi and Dolphin Pushups -oof and walking!

What the 100 Days is about:

I was at the Shaklee Global Conference August 12-16th and we were challenged to 100 Days of Amazing with the question of what could we accomplish in 100 days if we really tried?  I was inspired by the challenge, both as a business builder who wants to grow my business in 100 days and as an individual!  What could I do in 100 days? This blog is a journey, an exercise in learning ways to be the best me, I can be and to help you be the best you, you can be while I’m at it!
